Arguing on Facebook
I've got a 4 day argument going with my teaparty cousin on Facebook on, you guessed it, gun control.
We have argued about every facet of Friday's tragedy. She tends to shut up when a rational thought pops up.
Today my Swedish wife's brother stopped her with this:
Mathias: Quite frankly, the part in your constitution that states that you have rights to bear arms needs to be deleted. The only ppl who have the right to bear arms are law-enforcement/military personnel/hunters. If you want a country where mass shootings don't occur, where you haven't got the highest murder rate in the world you have to scrap that amendment! Is it something to be proud of? Highest murder rate? Anders Bering Brievik was not mentally ill, How many did he kill? you don't have to be insane to kill people. the wrong kind of values/ideas can be fuel enough to send someone on a killing spree. You can't keep blaming the manually ill just because the law is crazy.
During the ice age men hit women on the head with a bat and dragged her home in her hair, that made them a couple...that was the law then... Gun laws from the 17th century? Rethink!!
