50,000 posts and 21 years on DU!
Somehow, I always miss these milestones, but this time I was paying attention! 
There is no other online group or forum that I have been part of as long as Democratic Underground. Even Facebook and Twitter weren't publicly available back in 2004. And I'm still here! 
Cheers everyone, thanks for all the years of insightful conversations and much needed camaraderie during these often harrowing times.

I found DU sometime before 2004, not sure when, but I didn't sign up until the beginning of 2004 when I wanted to answer someone's comment. At the time, I was rarely interactive online.
I ended up making a lot of friends over time, many that I am still in contact with. I can't believe it has been 21 years!
Its a big milestone and I'm happy to celebrate it with you!

And also a place to meet like-minded people. Most of us started with our outrage about the Bush administration. I don't think any of us could have anticipated that it would get worse, much worse, than Bush/Cheney. Good to know we're not alone.
I missed my 20th anniversary last year as I was in the hospital. I was determined not to let another milestone pass me by.

i came on board wit hthe gore v shrubh 1 debachale ounder a different screen nick had to change as of the greatt du hack under the first dumpster fire admin. this username suits me well, but i had to spill off weight as of dibetic and heard problems . jolly good show. 
Then we were all given the opportunity to change our names for a limited time. I think I was tsegat initially.
