Peter DeFazio on how Chained CPI fucks over seniors, asks what the President is thinking (VIDEO)

Now this video is from July of 2011- but he's literally talking about now, about the end of 2012. And it's depressing that President is still trying to duck and weave away from the simple solution: Lets go over the cliff.

Whole thing is worth watching, especially the last minute. Dealing with the Repukes on this issue is lunacy.

He's probably to the right of Lincoln Chafee.

And that's across several issues. We can't take this as a country. This is not what we voted for and it's certainly not the kind of deals we want made on our behalf.

He is thinking how he can screw over 80-year-old Americans who voted for him so his campaign contributers and have more money.

And besides: SOCIAL SECURITY HAS NOT CONTRIBUTED TO THE DEFICIT AND SHOULDN'T EVEN BE TALKED ABOUT DURING THESE DISCUSSIONS!

...potentially prepared to do it anyway. Breaking campaign promises in order to cut deals with Republicans is nothing new. The Republicans know this and have been forcing his hand since 2009, Re: Extending the Bush Tax Cuts.

I hope DeFazio and Sanders team up, to show Congress and the nation what a REAL
FILIBUSTER looks like, and rip the mask off the greedy bastard behind all this ... quoting
Ronald Reagan over and over, "Social Security has nothing to do with deficits" ~RR
... and informing the nation via C-Span what this charade is all about i.e. the super-rich
trying again to pilfer the few remaining assets still available to the middle class and the poor
