(1,791 posts)Probably a dozen other things, but my brain is out of it this morning.
Oh, bearing false witness, refusing to follow any of the commandments, and on and on. Despite what my ex always told me, I have a better chance of avoiding Hell than Trump does.

(42,368 posts)By committing multiple adulteries, he has only harmed a small number of people, and for all we know they were probably willing participants. So yeah, it's small-time compared to the many other treacheries, lies, hatreds, thefts, and possible murders he's responsible for in the past several years.
... but it makes a helluva punchline!

(12,783 posts)I suspect many of the people he had adultery with were not willing. He even lost a case against one and owes her millions.
But the most unwilling were those little girls, some as young as 12, that Epstein brought him.

Can there be peace between the hyena and the dog?
Or peace between the rich and the poor?

Wild donkeys of the desert are lions prey;
likewise the poor are feeding grounds for the rich.

When the rich speak they have many supporters;
though what they say is repugnant, it wins approval.
When the poor speak people say, Come, come, speak up!
though they are talking sense, they get no hearing.

When the rich speak all are silent,
their wisdom people extol to the clouds.
When the poor speak people say: Who is that?
If they stumble, people knock them down

(10,333 posts)Oklahoma school superintendent Ryan Walters continues to create disturbing church-state headlines in his quest to stock every public school classroom in the state with a copy of the Bible. Earlier this year, Walters issued an edict requiring schools in the state to place copies of the Bible, along with founding documents like the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence in every classroom.
Now, as The Oklahoman reports, the resulting request for bids to satisfy the requirement is so specific that it seems to leave only one option for which Bible the state can purchase: the controversial God Bless the USA Bible recently promoted by former President Donald Trump. From the article:

(9,219 posts)Selective interpretation and application of the bible has pretty much been the norm over the ages.
Probably because there's a lot of garbage in there; makes it difficult to discern truth from opinion and commentary.
My feeling has always been that if it sounds evil, it probably is. Stoning is way up there in cruel and inhuman behavior.
