They say it's a 5. At first they said 6 but it did not feel like a 6 to me. It wasn't very stong.

5.2 at 10:08 although I thought it was 5 minutes or so later than that. Near Julian, California. The thing that got me was the alert showed up on my phone with vibration and buzzes. I didn't know what it was, and it scared the hell out of me. It told me to drop, cover and hold on, long after the quake was over.

There was no damage except to my nerves, but that was a pretty big quake!

We get them all the time but they are so weak as to be almost non-existent. This one was fairly big so, yeah, felt it.

Living on the edge of a canyon in La Jolla always gives an extra amount of concern as well. And yeah, the phone ringing with the Alert was unnerving, I don't recall this in the past.
