Ok let's be honest here

Banning all weapons and mass confiscation is just as much of a fringe statement, as Gov Perry wanting guns in the classroom.

Those two are fringe, stupid and should be socially unacceptable.

I'm sick of the false equivalency.

Any criticism of current gun policy is met with that meme... and then one is tagged with that..

So, please let's stop giving them the edge on that, ok.

Their accusations of that don't deserve a response every single time, they are being disruptive.

Did I? Both statements are still fringe.

By the way I am for reform. So you know.

One side wants a complete ban, the other wants loser gun laws. Both are fringe.

I want to take away all their guns.... Not true, but it is a tactic used.

Are you writing about those who actually propose that here (I've seen very little of it)?

What I have seen are a lot of accusations from the gunners that others want to take their guns. Just want to be sure we are using the same parameters for our discussion here.

Making sure you reduce lethality, and use other means is.

I prefer to live in the real world.

That would require a shift in mindset.

Which includes EVERYONE. Including those of us on the Left.

Over the last few days I've seen little capacity for posters here to engage in honest introspection and evaluating things we can all do to change our collective mindset.

Rather, I've seen rationalizing and a preference for pointing fingers and demonization.

Every American voluntarily disarming is pie in the sky...thinking. And given than more than a few of my back country neighbors still hunt for actual, yes food. And hunting is a rite of passage for a few of the local tribes. (And we need that to control the white tail population)

So you leading the charge to get rid of the second amendment?

So those of us actually wedded to reality know change is coming, common sense change...not outright bans or confiscation.

Pie in the sky are both more guns is the solution and outright weapons bans. They are fringe too.

When I hear "No changes at all; all is well" I stop listening, because you are fucking stupid.

When I hear "Ban all the guns and tax all the ammo to the moon" I stop listening, because you are fucking stupid.

I have no time for extremists.

I myself am an avid firearm enthusiast. I don't hunt.

I own a few guns, to include an AR-15.

I think there are radical changes we could make to gun policy in this country that would go a long way towards reducing violence. It doesn't matter though. It's not enough for the statist nut-balls hell bent on confiscation.

The way you feel about the UBER NRA commandos that refuse to give an inch and want guns in every last person's hands?

Yeah, the UBER banners sound just as crazy, and I give neither the time of day.
