America was special. It attracted and supported world class greed.
Some obvious examples: Rupert Murdoch, Elon Musk, Peter Thiel. And family names like Trump, Koch, Bezos, Adelson...
I don't buy the religious idea that America was blessed by God. Think about what was done to Native Americans and Africans. No decent god would condone that, let alone bless the perpetrators.
This country was great because of the Constitution and respect for the Constitution.
Can defenders of the Constitution - that should be most of us - pull us back from what we have become - a land of greed, deceit, and hypocrisy focused on entertainment, money, and religiosity... owned and controlled by certain people and certain types of people (intentionally non-specific).
Will the wealthy and powerful help salvage the country that supported (and permitted) their stunning financial success?
