Read The Full Analysis At NPR
When a team of advisers from President Trump's Department of Government Efficiency initiative arrived at the headquarters of the National Labor Relations Board, IT employees at the small, independent agency quickly became worried, according to a whistleblower declaration filed with Congress and shared with NPR.
The NLRB investigates and adjudicates complaints about unfair labor practices. Its databases store reams of potentially sensitive data, from confidential information about employees who want to form unions to proprietary business information.
The DOGE employees, who are effectively led by White House adviser and billionaire tech CEO Elon Musk, appeared to set their sights on accessing the NLRB's internal systems, removing sensitive data and covering their tracks.
"I can't attest to what their end goal was or what they're doing with the data," said the whistleblower, Daniel Berulis, in an interview with NPR. "But I can tell you that the bits of the puzzle that I can quantify are scary. ... This is a very bad picture we're looking at."
This article's analysis was particularly informative, collating, categorizing, and presenting the information with greater clarity than I'd previously found.

"Bob" promises eternal salvation or triple your money back!!
(A capitalists dream religion)
The fella' that started it back in the 80's was a neighbor that lived one street behind us in East Dallas back in the late 80's.

His book "High Weirdness By Mail" was a revelation in it's own right at the time within my world.
I never attended his "Devivals" although plenty of friends did.
They were whacked out over the top celebratory parodies of religious cults of all stripes.
He was quite the fella'!
Praise Bob and pass the ammo!
You'll pay to know what you really think!

I've done such analyses. You don't need personal data to gather statistical information. Legitimate projects forbid it.

Simply deporting Musk does nothing to serve justice; he can still wreak havoc from wherever he goes. He must spend the rest of his evil life in prison, and his assets confiscated, to be disbursed, with empathy, to the various entities he raped to enrich himself.

(13,917 posts)What? The system still knew enough to stop a Russian IP address as someone with that Russian IP address tried to log in under a new DOGE account!
How'd they get that account and password?
Either it was given to them, or the T-Musk spies opened the computers up for spying while they were stealing around and hiding their tracks.
Trump and Musk are either high level handlers or idiot rubes of the worst order.

(6,589 posts)out that there were "many" other NLRB staffers who were aware of this issue, but were afraid to come forward. That's why they spoke out -- to inspire the others to break their silence.
Scary that this intrusion could be the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Hope Congress can screw up the courage to investigate.
