In the past, the dissenters were complaining that the budget bill didn't cut enough.

That is quite a shift in priorities, if it is genuine.

11. I am afraid it is more of a slap in the hand because what they are saying is that they are not going to vote for

"TOO MUCH" of a change in Medicaid.

This is what is at the link:

"We cannot and will not support a final reconciliation bill that includes any reduction in Medicaid coverage for vulnerable populations…. Balancing the federal budget must not come at the expense of those who depend on these benefits for their health and economic security."

Maybe I am wrong, but that splits the population. From what understand from it is that they want to come up with a plan to serve, or only serve people, according to the income, which gets us further away from the dream of having "Universal Healthcare" in the USA.
