Is there a recent DU census revealing posters' ages?

I assume age data for users of this site would be self-reported in a poll format.

My sense is that we collectively skew toward the geriatric.

That we see ourselves as endeavoring to save the country for younger Americans as much as for ourselves.

But that we are only marginally capable of holding up protest signs, let alone taking up arms.

And that the population skewing young and fit who are already serving in or eligible for military service would be fighting for Trump-- either out of loyalty to him or respect for their chain of command notwithstanding personal opinions they happen to hold.

1. Having been here since the first as a five year old, that would make me only 29 yo. 😊😊😊

I may be geriatric but I'm still capable of holding a sign.
At 72 I work four days a week, unloading trucks and breaking down pallets every shift.
I think the op should read a few history books.. We geriatric women are not helpless.

I did a lot of the type of work you do and I'm fortunate that I am in good shape with no health problems, have no aches and pains at all so I don't need to take any kind of painkillers.
I am shocked at the amount of money you can make per hour now compared to even 10 years ago for "unskilled" labor.

Do "unskilled ". Also it took me 20 years of hard work and improving my skills to earn my existing pay rate

10. Don't get too "peaceful." Online DU poll which remained 'up' only 24 hours (typically) & less than250 respond

means that is a shaky assumption. Still it is pretty clear that Baby Boomers, Gen X, and Millennials predominate. Hardly makes the DU crowd overwhelmingly geriatric--even if older voters post more.

Then again, we got trained in civil disobedience back in high school, protesting the war in Vietnam!

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
