I miss Al Franken in the Senate.

Last edited Fri Apr 18, 2025, 05:47 PM - Edit history (1)

He would have been fighting tooth and nail every single day.

At the very least, he wouldn't have worn pink; held up a little sign; and sung "We Shall Overcome" (or whatever it was they sang) in opposition.

I will NEVER forgive her or the Democratic Party for turning on Al.

Republicans have done so many worse and they are still in office.

I check his website frequently and receive e-mails from it. I guess I should change the title of my original post.

I think several of these posts were disruptors or just being smart asses. I have the same feelings as you and think that we lost an important man when they forced him to retire
I’m still a bit angry about the whole thing.

He should be on there for sure. I miss my Senator too. I always felt so bad for him....when the Senate was in session, i’d watch on C-SPAN and he was always walking around kinda by himself. I kinda thought his “fellow” Senators didn’t really approve of him because he was on SNL. I think they all treated him badly. JMHO. and who did come to his defense?? His fellow State Senator didn’t even stand by him. Never forgave Amy for that either. 😡 😡 😡

And Wellstone died way before his time.
I was able to personally thank him for his brave stands on the issues.
Needless to say, he stood alone quite often.

He died not too long after I met him, travelling to DC on a flight.
But Al Franken should never have been sidelined ever, and for what? Something about decorum or something he said off the cuff I can't remember it was so petty.

I think Chuck did, and that's one of the reasons Franken is gone.
