I know he was remaking the College of Cardinals through attrition and appointments. Let’s hope he was successful in staving off a radical traditionalist as his successor.

Another DUer felt yesterday I was wrong, but I wonder what death eater and couchffucker Vance was doing there yesterday.

Likely spoiling the selection process with some Nazi and authoritarian bull crap.

I know it was brief, but there is a disconcerting aspect to this, knowing how the Pope felt about Trump et al and these horrific RW leaders on the world stage.

I fear "WHAT" we will get in replacement. A far RW "Catholic" extremist--perhaps even worse than Ratzinger IS a possibility.

I am not a religious guy, but I was raised a Catholic. The Pope means something to me, and as far back as I can remember, this particular Pope was pretty much the most righteous guy to hold the office. The first Holiness who actually seemed a little bit close to holy, if you take my meaning. The next pontiff will almost certainly be a step down, because he has to be.

Requiescat in pace.

I guess the Easter service was too much for him, but at least he didn't have to put up with Vance on his last day on Earth. I just wish it had been Trump. That I could celebrate. I'm just a little reserved over the Pope, not being a believer and all.

Edited to add: I see he did meet with Couchfucker. Well, mystery solved. That did him in. Probably had poison on Vance's hand when they shook hands, and it killed him. Or the Pope felt too much disgust and his heart couldn't take it. Poor guy. If I had to pretend Vance was a valid human being, I'd want to die, I know that.
