It declined payment of a recurrent bill in my account and I got an email from the company not getting my payment to go through. I was frantic all day yesterday and am going there as soon as they open up to find out what the problem is!

For a while there, I was a bit frantic...

(2,203 posts)For everything else I use Bill Pay to push the payments out to billers. This avoids any non-payment or over draft fees being charged against my account, if something goes wrong with my account or I don't get paid.

Best to contact the company that appears to be emailing you on your own. Ask them if there is an issue. Most often, there is not. Never respond to anything that comes in through email. Always go directly to the company involved and inquire.
Oldest trick in the book since phishing begam.

(68,495 posts)It is now OK. The whole process was laborious, but it is fine. The bill has been paid. We just got a delivery about a week ago and our heat works just fine.
