Don't buy stuff from AI generated old people

Watched this YouTube video this morning, all these scam advertisements and sites hawking Chinese junk as handmade American craftsmanship is getting out of control. The old craftsperson retiring sale seems to be a popular trend lately. It’s an interesting video, they even hire American actors to make fake reviews and such.

or they are trying to convince people the higher prices are worth it if supposedly handcrafted by an old person about to retire. I would hope DUers at least would look into it before buying.

There are legit handcrafted items out there that are excellent quality. They also come with high prices and less AI generated social media advertising. You have to look into where it's made and find independent reviews that are not posted from the seller.

Like in the video, that same exact watch that they sell for $40 is only $0.99 on Alibaba/AliExpress. Even with 100% tariff it’s now still only costs the seller $1.98.
