Trump is looking for a scapegoat for the economy.

That is why he is going after the Fed Chair Powell so aggressively.

He doesn't want to go down in history as Hoover the Second. He constantly talks about "1929".

But his threats only heighten the fears already in the market.

He always has to have an excuse. So if the markets continue to decline and we go into a recession, or worse, he can say he tried to get rid of the Fed Chair and save our economy. It will never be his fault.

Never mind that every economist in the world was telling his dumb ass to stop the tariff bullshit but he refused to listen.

And now he wants to blame someone else.

Even if Powell is "fired" the other board members voted the same way.

Typical narcissist behaviour.

The "loser" label is projected onto the Fall Guy.

And somehow he always gets away with it, like any narcisstic cult leader with a supply of flying monkeys and yes-men.

You can’t do what Trump is doing and not crash the economy. The damage is done. The only way to stop it is to undo everything he has done since taking office. That may not even work at this point.

into the economy in too many places all at once. Tariffs, a weakening dollar, expanding joblessness, chaotic and inexperienced/incompetent leadership at every govt agency -- this mess won't be cured by lowering interest rates.

Fux will try to play both sides of the road on that one. They want to scold him but they need him to feel loved.

In the end, it will become just another one of the dozens of “are you fucking kidding me” kind of things he just says and gets away with like the 2020 election was stolen. We are all just expected to act like it’s a normal thing for a grown human being with a high school diploma and access to factual information to say.

His people know he’s full of shit and they don’t care. It’s not what they’re in for.
