There is no way he is going to cede power without attempting to circumvent the Constitution. He looks at how Putin came to power and he wants to follow his path.

If he can't achieve it directly he will do it indirectly. For example, he has a crony like Vance run and win (unlikely but possible). Vance then hands over power to Trump either officially or unofficially, just like Trump handed power to Musk.
