Huckabeast Sanders says Arkansas in 'dire need of federal assistance,' but Trump says no

https://arktimes.com/arkansas-blog/2025/04/21/sanders-says-arkansas-in-dire-need-of-federal-assistance-but-trump-says-no

Gov. Sarah Sanders said Arkansas is in “dire need of federal assistance” in an appeal letter last week after the federal government denied help after last month’s damaging storms.

Fourteen tornadoes touched down in Arkansas on March 14 and 15, leaving three dead and dozens injured.

The next week, Sanders asked President Donald Trump for a major disaster declaration, the first step in securing federal funds and other help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Sanders specifically requested help in the form of small business loans and individual assistance for people in Greene, Hot Spring, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Randolph, Sharp and Stone counties.

But the Trump administration declined to declare a disaster, meaning no federal assistance would be heading our way.

In their rejection note to Sanders’ March 21 request, the federal government said the damage wasn’t anything state and local folks couldn’t handle.

His voters are all being kicked to the curb, and thrown under the bus, now that they will no longer be needed in future "fixed" elections.

Huckapig served him well, and she thought she could get anything from Trump after being beyond loyal for all those years....LOL

The Trumphumping voters were all so stupid, they didn't understand what he meant when he kept telling them at Rallies, quite literally,
"Vote for me, this one last time, and you will never need to vote again"........

AND, to top that........All the RepubliCON U.S. Senators, U.S. House Members, and the U.S. Supreme court justices who are even more stupid to back his every move for over 8 years. They must have not received the memo.......A tyranny/dictatorship does NOT have a Judicial and Legislative branch in their government.....

in carrying out actions despite court orders. That can't wait until Trump is gone. People need to understand now that they are responsible for following illegal orders. Only Trump is immune. That could be how we unravel this thing: people start going to jail and eventually he can't get people to enact his illegal orders.

Notice Elon Musk's 5 questions email are generally being ignored now. it can happen.

Congress is complicit for how they vote but not directly enacting the horrors. It will come down to ICE, airplane pilots, cabinet members, AG, staffers.....SCOTUS would have to be impeached before we could do anything so that is a long way off.

To have to start raising taxes. They were so intent on eliminating state taxes and making it up by getting blue states fed tax monies.

I am surprised that the red states are being told no though.

with their "Biden caused the hurricane," "Biden steered the hurricane," "This town was inundated because somebody wants a lithium mine," "FEMA is using money to house illegal immigrants," turned me off ever having empathy for those people. In fact, I don't know if I can ever visit there again without a bad taste in my mouth. And I know that there are plenty of decent non-Trumpers who got washed out. But the vitriol aimed at Biden et al. was so over the top as to be delusional, and I will not forget it.

Red state legislation reduces taxes to make it seem like they are for the people. Then they rely on US Gov to provide services and money to cover for not having taxes. Then they go on tours around the state exclaiming the virtues of self determination and screaming about big guvment is da debil, and staes rights etc.

Then bad shit happens and the US Gov steps in and fixes their shit. Rinse, repeat.

Then all of a sudden, a despot is elected and brings in the flying monkeys to self actualize their stated goal that the US Gov is too big and needs to be shut down.

Then bad shit happens and no one is available to fix your shit anymore.

That about right?

Oh, and as an added bonus, another self actualization: "this just proves government doesn't work....."

Your philosophy and the philosophy of the orange hell beast your support believe states

should take care of themselves.

Remember you hate the federal government.

Remember you hate the deep state like FEMA.

Sarah it is your problem.

You are partly responsible.

You are not responsible for the tornadoes, but you are responsible that your state won't get any help.

You are a liar and a fraud.

You don't believe in democracy.

You are an enemy of my country.

You are trying to destroy my country.

I hope you get everything you deserve.

Fuck you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I though prayers solved all your problems.

Maybe your god is sick of you.

Release Date:
May 31, 2024
WASHINGTON -- FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance is available to the state of Arkansas to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding from May 24-27, 2024.

The President's action makes federal funding available to affected individuals in Benton, Boone and Marion counties. Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.

is denied federal assistance. If they were to get federal assistance, do you think there should be some mandatory work requirements for the governor, state officeholders, as well as local officials other than their elected/appointed jobs? Everyone knows, according to conservative ideology, those on welfare don't work and only take money from hardworking taxpayers.

Only those with deep pockets and a willingness to pay to play need apply.
Just because you supported his reelection doesn't mean he gives a shit about you, or anyone else in Arkansas who doesn't meet this requirement.

Why don't you hold a series of town halls to tell your people how badly Trump just fucked all of you?
I'm sure they won't take it out on you. Well, maybe they won't.

Bootstraps, etc. - you should have managed your state's finances better. Your state has always been a taker state, so you depended on the Fed to keep you afloat. The consequences of your vote have come home to roost, so fix it yourself. And quit taking money from those Blue states, who do knwo how to manage their own economy.

If she has the gall to ask for it now (and she owes it to her constituents to do exactly that), she should also have the honesty to admit that she screwed them over by practically telling Trump in advance to send thoughts and prayers, and she’d provide the rest.

Unless, that is, she has access to some thoughts and prayers that are far mor effective than the ones we know about so far.
