He now "has no intention" of firing Jerome Powell.
Fool backs down again. How ANYONE, including Wall Street, can take anything he spews as meaningful in any way is beyond me.

that by far, the biggest grift ever was committed by spawn Ivanka and her accomplice Jared.

The amount they made off of taking control of the PPE during the Covid Pandemic and selling it, Jared repeatedly selling information to the Saudi's Royalty, etc etc etc.

Hell, Jared's last sell to the Saudi Royalty was worth TWO BILLION DOLLARS alone.

Those two made several fortunes, and daddy could only sit and watch them beat him at his own game.
I can only imagine what Ivanka has over his father, allowing her and Jared to do anything they want without cutting Daddy in on the take.......

The minute the Orange F-Wad came down the escalator, Jared famously said we are going to
monetize all of it, every single bit of it. And then of course he also famously said during the deadly
Covid pandemic that all the federal medical resources belonged to him and Trump. And he sold
US taxpayer funded medical supplies to rich foreigners. Pocketed the cash.

And of course Ivanka's Chinese factories got special treatment when Trump was in office.

The $2B is just the money we know about.
Can you imagine how much hidden wealth they have stolen?

Usually a mob boss always gets a cut of profits, even from his kids.
No one can make more money than he does.

But Jared and Ivanka would most likely be hiding their ill gotten gains from Daddy to some extent.

46. Agree. Think it's classic "poop and scoop" manipulation --
Wed Apr 23, 2025, 03:02 PM
Apr 2025

“Poop and scoop” occurs when a small group of informed people attempts to drive down a stock's price by spreading false information, rumors, and otherwise damaging information. They spread “poop” so they can then buy or "scoop" the stock at a lower price. They can purchase the stock at bargain prices if they're successful because the overall marketplace will have sold off the security and this causes the price to fall dramatically.

“Poop and scoop" is generally frowned upon by securities exchange regulators and it can be prosecuted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

I'm not sure he can't fire him, even though it's an independent institution, or whatever. I think somebody said there was a way. However, the biggest takeaway is that he would absolutely destroy the banking system. So, I agree that the bastard was persuaded to back off.

He is so ugly and hateful. He always says the most vile things about people that won't do what he wants. He did this right when he needs someone to blame for the destruction of the economy, and inflicting the losses of people's nest eggs just to get money for himself and his buddies. I wonder who he will try to blame next. He's probably staying up at night figuring it out.

20. Vance is bad, but different bad.
Tue Apr 22, 2025, 09:38 PM
Apr 2025

I don't think every Republican in congress would be terrified of Vance the way they are of Schlump, and I don't think Vance necessarily has the undying devotion of the MAGA cult. In other words, I think he'd likely be a less formidable adversary.

Also, I am not sure we completely know where Vance stands on a lot of things. He used to speak disparagingly of Schlump, until he decided to hitch his wagon to Schlump's star as veep. With Schlump out of the way, I suspect Vance would change his tune about some things. Right now, he says whatever Schlump wants him to say, because he needs to stay on old Orange Face's good side. If he no longer had to do that, we might see a different side of him.

I also think a Vance administration would probably be less chaotic and more rational in a lot of ways. (I don't really see him accepting Musk as a "co-president," for one thing!) Vance would also have less power to make all his wishes reality, for the reasons outlined in the 1st paragraph, above.

In short, I don't think he would necessarily be worse, and I think he might be easier for Democratic leaders to deal with. I'm definitely less afraid of him than I am of Schlump.

43. Yes, Trump has a following all right.
Wed Apr 23, 2025, 02:54 PM
Apr 2025

That's because he does have a certain kind of charisma that has a powerful effect on some people. It doesn't work on all of us, but it works like gangbusters on a certain segment of the population. There's no way he would have been able to build such a devoted following otherwise. I don't pretend to understand it, but the evidence is right in front of our faces. He also has a forcefulness and confedence that Vance lacks. One reason he can get credulous people to believe everything he says is because he speaks with such complete confidence.

If Trump was out of the picture, some of the cult would shift allegiance to Vance, but I don't think he would be able to maintain it for very long. Whatever weird kind of charisma Trump has, Vance utterly lacks any whatsoever. I don't see him being able to keep millions of people under a spell the way Trump has.

Obviously, we're not all going to agree on the "Which one is worse" question, and I'm fine with that. It's all hypothetical at this point anyway. One thing we can all agree on is that they both suck!

I would also add that Vance is insecure about his commitment to MAGAT -type crap. One minute he’s for it, the next minute he’s questioning it.

He never comes up with anything for their cause on his own. He thinks his job is just to support Trump policies.

I suspect he really doesn't believe a lot of the things he says. He just says them because he has to, to avoid incurring the wrath of Schlump and his cult.

I do believe he's staunchly anti-abortion and thinks women should be having babies instead of careers. He was saying that stuff before he ever got involved with Trump. But a lot of the words that come out of his mouth now are Trump's words, not his own.
