This is a good thing.
The backlash is increasing against Target after the company announced it would scale back its diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
Data from the analytics firm Placer.ai shows foot traffic at Target locations has declined for 10 consecutive weeks.
More than 200,000 people participated in a nationwide boycott against Target.

(179,348 posts)That was a terrible corporate decision, one repeated by many companies.

(1,329 posts)I hadn't set foot in a WalMart for decades, shopped there instead of Target recently. Target used to stand up and then Target fell on its knees.
I am pretty sure that, if Target changes its mind and reverses that terrible decision, Target will be forgiven.

(179,348 posts)It's good to see the boycott having an impact. They erred badly, but I'm not counting on them coming to their senses any time soon. Whether or not they're forgiven remains to be seen.
