And just like that, the false kidnapping case went political. GA GOP now actively stepping in to support the accused

I made this as a separate thread because I gotta give it to republicans. They sure know how to seize the moment. They can argue that they fight for due process and possibly unseat the newly elected DA who is a democrat. ( I don't care that this DA is a democrat, everyone involved should lose their job. They have lost credibility)

But you just have to marvel at how good republicans are at the spin game. This is solely about politics. They don't step in, unless they see it as a political win.

The Cobb County Republican Party is now actively stepping in to support Patel’s right to due process, supporting a petition to grant him bond while he awaits trial.

Cobb County GOP Chairwoman Mary Clarice Hathaway didn’t hold back:

“On the surface of it, this case appears to be completely egregious on so many different levels. To take someone’s freedom away should not be done flippantly by a district attorney—Democrat or Republican.”

Hathaway said, “While this is not an election issue, we are stepping in because it is simply the right thing to do.”
