When do we start seeing empty shelves?

I had to go to a big box home store for some home repair parts. There were fewer things on the shelves and more empty bins

I don't live near any big box stores, so I can't check. But being in the rural Mtns, I hope our grocery stores don't get hrt too much....
Gess I'll stock up on sandwich stuff - bread/meat/cheese can all be frozen if needed. I'm living alone and not eating a lot these days...
