He is super-pissed that China is ignoring his claims of negotiations going on over trade and tariffs. He cannot get them to the table and the shit is about to hit the fan. It makes him look desperate and weak.
So, in his comments yesterday at "news conference", he felt the need to insert his threats about America having weapons more powerful than anyone can imagine. At the time, I thought it was directed at China. Since nothing else seems to work to get them to take the squeeze off Trump, maybe he underhandedly threaten them with some sort of military weapons?
Did anyone connect his comments to his failure to get China to negotiate?

(11,155 posts)countries of substantial strength - they always use a proxy to do the dirty work....think Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan (in the case of the US). They become expendable killing fields without doing damage to the homeland.
I certainly hope we do not fuck with China...or anyone for that matter...how about spending our precious resources - human and capital - to make the world better for a change? Is that our of the question?
