yesterday saying -short version-he should update his SS online account due to increased sign in requirements.
We are going to call local SS office tomorrow to try and get help with this. ( He doesn't think he has online account for one thing).
There was mention in this email about potential probs. getting monthly payments if he doesn't follow through, but they didn't
give a specific date.
Basically, mildly terrifying. If one or two payments don't come on schedule we're in real trouble.
Don't know, but this sounds somewhat like what you received.

Everyone who is eligible should already create an account.
Login.gov OR ID.me
I use Login.gov for access to my Social Security account

And I suspect that phone call or visit to local SS office will result in our setting up accounts.

I don't think I ever set up SS account and if my husband did, we can't find the password, etc. The email assumed he had
an account, but it may have been a template, standard email.
In any case, we'll get started tomorrow.
Thx.
