James Bond movies were great at showcasing foreign lands.
Movies SHOULD be shot in exotic foreign lands.

We are a service economy, if other Countries wanted to hit us, other than retaliatory tariffs on goods, other than selling US bonds, then a Country would place tariffs on Services.
The Shitstain just pushed our former partners into the next level.
I am fully convinced that he is actively tearing us down.

(3,053 posts)An international co-production between Canada, Denmark, Ireland, and the United States, the biopic was announced in May 2018, but languished until Abbasi, Stan, and Strong joined in 2023. After premiering at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 20, 2024, and despite impressing the critics, sparking an eight-minute standing ovation at Cannes, and "feverish media attention" the film struggled to find American distribution due to its subject matter and an attempt by Trump's legal team to block its release.
Curious, would the tariff be reduced to 75% for such an international co-production?

(1,113 posts)He's going to kill Hollywood now. This is very short-sighted; the Romans gave their people bread and circuses to keep them in line. We get circuses in America, driven by our media apparatus. Undermining the media's ability to make money overseas cuts into our circuses.
He's just so dumb I get astonished sometimes.
