As Malcolm Nance said on freespeechtv.org on Stephanie Miller last week, the shit hits the fan on May 10th.
Companies still have a few weeks of inventory on hand to bide some time but the tariff effect is going to begin in earnest, soon.

(24,438 posts)Tariffs are applied at the port of entry. Tariffs aren't applied when ships leave China, or when sales are made.
They don't grandfather ships in who are on their way. The ship could literally be an hour from port when the tariffs are applied and the goods they then carried would cost more once they are unloaded.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
