Onionization - The tendancy for reality to become rediculous due to conservative behavior
Enshitification is a perfect term for how shallow, selfish and short term business pressures turn the best things to crap. I was thinking how often I have to check to see if something real is real, especially when it relates to conservative behavior.
More and more often I am seeing moments where the insanity of a conservative claim, obvious lie, or the obvious stupidity goes well past evil or incompetence and makes me wonder how these people manage to put on their cloths in the morning or survive using a fork to eat.
So I think we need a new term, Onionization.
We have often seen the result of Onionization, but now, with Krasnov in charge it can be a daily or even hourly experience.
Onionization, I suspect is primarily caused by being insulated from reality and surrounded by those who espouse a bespoke set of views. This has often happened in the past to wealthy or powerful people, but there is a difference. As those views avoid science, logic, or compassion they go loony. As they support people who cannot back off of a statement, lie or lack of knowledge, they go batshit craycray. As those view become more carefully cultured in order to not say the part that shouldn't be said out loud, the inevitable slip in awareness of what shouldn't have been said out loud causes sudden speech or behavior that reveals the insanity of the bespoke views.
Combined with cultism, this stuff goes right off the rails and we find ourselves asking if this was an Onion article.
