When Trump or someone in his entourage does something stupid, like putting an AI picture of him dressed as the pope on social media, why not just ignore it? Make a big deal over it and it becomes just another distraction from the real stupidity and ignorance that he spews, and the damage he does by lying about problems and then using that as an excuse to "fix" the non existent problem.
Or his plan to reactivate Alcatraz. Just another middle of the night tweet resulting from his dementia, insomnia and other mental deficiencies invading the real world. Ain't happenin'. Just more of his dementia talking.
I'll tell you what. When a court enforces a ruling against him by an injunction, or by jailing him until he complies, write about that, the fact that a court in our justice system grew a pair of cojones, and actually administered justice would be major news. And dragging off some of these incompetent cabinet members, like Hegseth, Rubio, Bondi or the transportation guy who is presiding over the worst rash of air accidents and mishaps in air travel history. I know better than to board a plane in this country right now.
The stuff that gets reported as news makes the news media look like a bunch of stupid idiots. Well, if that's what they look like...

(61,033 posts)saw a late night movie on Alcatraz then suddenly got the brilliant notion of re-opening Alcatraz for "dregs of society to be incarcerated in...meaning the immigrants invading out country. The issue seems to occupy his declining brain 24/7, so much that he comes up with this 'brilliant' idea. Open Alcatraz and maybe he doesn't have to pay El Salvado to house the deportees We can keep them in Alcatraz, after it's re-opened, which will take years and billions to make it haboitable again. Once that's done, we'll have a refurbished 1912 prison as that's when it was built.
Brilliant.

(114,692 posts)No matter how insane, and obnoxious, his ridiculous utterances are enabled by his sycophants and thus we ignore at our own peril. It would be like ignoring ones end-stage demented uncle who had somehow broken into those long-forgotten nuclear missile silos that remain on the prairies fron Northern Colorado to WY and the Dakotas. He may just know/remember enough from those long past years assigned to guard those silos to be the end of us all.

This is a news media determined to keep his name and face on the front page every day, several times a day, not to make him look stupid but to make him look normal.
I ignore the crap.

(114,692 posts)that everyone thought he was simply "riffing," that has instead comprised his more than 150 Executive Orders. The MSM discounted or downplayed them on the campaign trail. Look where THAT got us. Downplaying his utterances as mere fantasy or "just TRUMP," got us Project 2025 being rapidly enacted, got us the Elon Musk chainsaw and got us a revenge-fearing Congress that capitulates. Our only hope is US and the courts, but mainly we, the people.
No. An uninformed, tuned-out public is to capitulate. We need an informed populace that FIGHTS BACK.
