As a Catholic myself, I'm embarrassed by how Trump's AI picture.....

depicting him as the Pope of of Catholic Church is shameful. But not one person is asking about the separation of Church and State, which Trump ignores and relishes in his own witless attempt to divide the country. He ignored the question by saying he had nothing to do with the picture. HOGWASH! He knew that it was out there and he shared it on truth social! But what is even more astonishing? Cardinal Dolan, a prominent Catholic Bishop from New York, says “it is not a good look”. Really Cardinal Dolan? It mocks our faith in our Lord, it demonizes our Church and the people of the Catholic community. I don’t usually criticize any Religious leaders, but this excuse from Cardinal Dolan was just a reminder of how Trump can influence even the most powerful people and to me that highly disappointing. So much of this is Donald’s fault, but to cover for unstable person is irresponsible to say the least.

Not one now. If it pisses Catholics off good, just another predictable stunt from the clown for distraction.

I know a bunch of Catholics in my family voted for him but I don't talk politics or religion with them. Don't really talk with them about much at all anymore.

Because I study history, I'm not one to put any Pope on a pedestal. There have been some really vile popes. That being stated, I do think this was very disrespectful to the man who just died and the people who mourn him.

I read that he claimed he had nothing to do with posting it. I doubt that. It was probably at his direction and, of course, his minions jumped right to it. It's just another example of the warped mindset of him and his surrounding goons.

Not necessarily "unfunny" as in "offensive."

Rather, "unfunny" as in purporting to be funny but actually lacking any sort of worthwhile comedic value.

It's just one more example of Trump being mastrabatory and self-indulgent. One more stroke of the old ego.

I can't think of any example of Trump being intentionally and genuinely funny to me. Or fun or whimsical or any sort of lighthearted emotion.

Everything about him is a boot to the head. His concept of humor is cruelty and mocking. There's no warmness or even self-deprecation about the man, and that's always a critical part to good humor.

Narcissism just isn't very funny in an objective sense.

Watching Quo Vadis recently, Trump has more in common with Nero and the emperors than with St. Peter and St. Paul.

it is important for him to have as many media distractions in play as possible: Trump as the Pope, Alcatraz, a third term, stealing Greenland.... ad nauseum...

Media eats it up, comedians wear it out and everybody's talkin' about the latest Trump stunt.

but I wasn't embarrassed by a pretend image of a pope. It was the insensitivity of the timing in relationship to Pope Francis's death and not respecting the mourning period.

Also yes there have been Popes who were bad and did not deserve their position, but tsf can't even run a country of 340 million successfully, let alone a worldwide religion of an estimated 1.41 Billion baptized members. It's his narcissism that should be embarrassing and disgusting to any one with an ounce of decency and intelligence.

Cardinal Dolan is not the Body of Christ. He is only one human in it, as Pope Francis also said about himself.

You need not be afraid for the strength of the Church. And do not be embarrassed that the antichrist reveals himself.
Instead, read today's reading from St. Stephen's (the first martyr) sermon from Acts 6: 7-15, and Acts 7: 1-60 and Acts 8:1. It is being read all over the world today.
