of flights in taking off and landing. Way more than normal. I'm starting to wonder if trump/Hegseth has began training for some sort of military action.

(60,574 posts)The flights are constant, and Nellis has a training wing for pilots from other countries as well a American ones.

(1,019 posts)Flying in single file over my house in Sacramento heading west. I think they took off from Mather field. Pretty unusual to see that. who knows what those idiots are up to.

(1,121 posts)Due to its proximity to extensive ranges so it may just be routine activity.

(5,805 posts)Can't say I have noticed an increase but I will take better note now. Its not unusual to see training sorties. I will keep an eye out for unusual activity or different types of aircraft. I also drive I5 through Camp Pendleton on occasion. End of April I saw a lot of helicopter activity when I drove through....but again, can't say if it was an increase or not since I don't drive that everyday.

(1 post)I live near Lone Mountain NW Vegas. Nellis has basically two paths out of here... (1) North, and (2) West. Western departures are a longer and quieter path since I hear the lateral version of exhaust going east. North departures are short and LOUD since the exhaust is basically coming directly (south) at me but they are outta' here quickly so LOUD and SHORTER. YES I agree.. and I have been searching google for this very reason. I double checked. No Red Flag exercises. Something is up! More constant noise on May 5 2025 but also today, lesser May 6 2025. This has been jets leaving north which I think is a Washington (state) or Oregon base. West is typically Edwards AFB as I have learned. This is North outta' here.
