Trump says U.S. will immediately stop bombing Houthi militants in Yemen

WASHINGTON − President Donald Trump says the U.S. will end airstrikes on Houthi militants in Yemen effective immediately.

"We will stop the bombings," Trump announced from the Oval Office.

Trump announced the end to U.S. airstrikes as he met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House. He said Houthi rebels had informed the U.S. the evening before that they were ready to stand down. Trump said he would honor their request.

Trump declined to say later in the meeting how he learned that the Houthis were waving the white flag, attributing the information to a "very good source."

can expect even more retaliation. Arabs have been tying to destroy Israel for the last 77 years. It's never worked out well for them.

3. When the Houthis invariably resume attacks

on US Navy ships and international shipping in the Red Sea the bombings will likely resume. When they shoot missiles at Ben Gurion Airport and other targets inside Israel they can also expect retaliation by Israel.

He did that with the Taliban to get himself a little "put this on the back burner" time, long enough to point fingers at Joe when the time ran out.
