It's AI, there's no contact info, and it confirms what people want to see.

the vast majority of crops in Iowa are mechanically harvested.

But, the point was made.

the conclusion by some is that this is satire. Others pointed out that it smacks of communism!

When I was a teen, I cut certain weeds out of soybean fields using a hand machete. Has to be done very quickly just before the combines come in to harvest. Has to be done by hand ( back then, don't know about now ) to keep the milkweed sap from getting on the soybeans and flavoring them. You have to finish the field before the weeds can grow back... about 2 weeks.

You try doing that... walking up and down every row ( or every third row ) and swing the machete and cut just a weed about every 4 or 5 steps. Watch out for snakes, bees, etc. Up to your chest in jungle... but from your armpits up... nothing but the sun beating down on you and it's 97 F. You carry some water with you... and take a break every third or forth row ( on the 20 acre field I was assigned ).

I was paid a fixed amount for the entire 20 acres and 2 weeks. I don't remember the amount, but I knew that if I worked at the Burger joint I would make more money for much less effort.

I did this for a summer or two. I can't imagine the people that do jobs like this for their lives. Farm workers need our respect and much better wages. I want cheap food that everyone can afford. Cheap healthy food. But getting it at the cost of these farm workers labor for pennies isn't the right way.
