Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsSaw a video today of MAGAts saying "Preznit Trump told us we'd be hurtin' the first 100 days, and be patient..."
I didn't bother hunting it down again because it's basically what I described in my subject line...a group of middle-aged to elderly white Trump voters, saying "We were told the first hundred days would be difficult and we'd be hurting and we had to be patient and that's what we're doing..."
So my purpose for posting this is a reminder you most likely don't need because you already have it dialed in...
...there are people who voted for Trump who still believe his campaign "promises," even though, 107 days later, he's given no indication whatsoever that he'll keep any of them, other than seeking revenge and deporting brown people.

If elected, Trump has vowed to put Musk in charge of a government efficiency commission, which would identify supposedly wasteful programs that should be eliminated or slashed. During a telephone town hall last Friday, Musk said his commissions work would necessarily involve some temporary hardship.
...so the voter in the clip who made the statement about the first 100 days being difficult probably pieced that together from a number of Trump and Musk sound bites.

(8,151 posts)This and that problem would be solved "very quickly." The various wars would be over in one day. Similar nonsense. The pain narrative started kicking in after the markets dropped 10%-15% (they all still down 10% from highs). Now even the "deals coming soon" narrative is exploding on them. It's all very embarrassing.
