(38,533 posts)...important to him is to let us know that DU was a part of his life that he appreciated so much as to die in our cybernetic arms.
As we do not live forever; knowing as much it is well to live well in the sense of honoring life's experiences. He seems to have done so, from what I know of my limited exposure to him.
As I lay dying, I expect I'll want to remember DU as a wonderful part of my life as it caused me to think and rethink.

(37,156 posts)I joined a few years later with a bunch of other Obama supporters/volunteers. He was a great person to know in MIRT, I liked his balanced approach and learned from him. I'm really hoping that wasn't his final post, but I know he was ill.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
