Inspired by a post from Bumbles-FEAR

Reading that excellent post made me think of something that I’ve been saying for a long time about the Democratic Party. When will the Democratic Party wake up to the power of fear? The Republicans will lie through their teeth to instill fear into their base because they know that this will get their base to show up in every election, including the primaries, especially the primaries. The Democratic Party can be absolutely honest in using fear . Women of this country should be terrified of what is happening with government control over their bodies, in so many states minorities should be terrified that so many hard won rights are being decimated. Educators should be terrified That teaching truth and truthful. History is now actively being destroyed by our government. This is not tinfoil. hat stuff! this is happening now and too few Democrats are talking about it. instead it’s wait for the midterms. Of course we need to balance out this fear with real talk about positive policies that we have enacted in the past and want to enact in the future, but to break through the bubble of people who only watch sites like this the Democratic Party needs to be using the power of fear. As of last January over 26,000 women in the state of Texas alone were pregnant due to rape. If this was a republican issue that would be everywhere but yet it hardly gets a mention within the Democratic Party. We have a Russian asset in the White House . boxes of top-secret documents were found at Mar-a-Lago. Do you not think he is giving Putin everything that Putin wants concerning our national secrets? Due process is being gutted. I get that the upcoming tax cut is a huge issue, but we need to reach out to people who may not agree with us on everything and fear is a tool that we need to start using. I heard someone make an excellent point yesterday, do we want to lose our democracy but point out that at least we maintained our honor by not using fear. This is lengthy. I apologize for that, but the Democratic Party needs to wake people up who normally don’t follow politics and one of the best ways that has been proven over history to reach. People is the use of fear. we can use fear honestly, but if we don’t use it, it’s a tool left remaining in our toolbox that we will regret not using.

I would suggest (based on its length) dividing it into about 6 to 10 paragraphs with a blank like between each.

... many minutes of many reader's time and gets it read much more.

And again, there is the fallacy that the reader should struggle to read it to decide if it is worth reading. It is the same fallacy that video posters apply to excuse their posting without summaries: you should spend time watching some of the video to decide if you want to spend time watching the whole video when a summary can be read in seconds.

There is an alternative. Make thousands of 16 word posts.

I’m saying sometimes we learn from those who don’t express themselves as well as others.
We scare many folks with good ideas because of our condescending approach.

And many people function routinely at the level I was yesterday for multiple reasons. It turns out I have to go for emergency surgery tomorrow, clinic day surgery but probably means general anaesthesia.

In my post I named my low energy, apologized for it, identified the problem with the post and proposed a solution. I don't know what else I could have done or how to have phrased it better.

Did not need genera anaesthesia, turned out to be a little simpler than expected.
