For over three years now, the Russian terrorists have been bombing Ukrainian hospitals, shopping malls, and schools. And yet they took deep offense when a Czech minister wore a smart pair of socks showing the Russian Kremlin in flames.

At a meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, Tomá Kopečný, Czech Governmental Envoy for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, wore socks showing the Kremlin in flames, prompting sharp criticism from Russia.
President Zelenskyy visited Prague last week. At the meeting, Kopečný was wearing socks featuring an image of the Kremlin in flames. This prompted an outraged reaction from Andrey Klimov, Russias Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.

(5,834 posts)There were protests by Ukrainian activists then, concerned about the annexation of Crimea. They were worried about our elections. They were right. They understood what it's like to live under the boot.

(16,670 posts)It was shortly after the invasion begun. A russian general said something like: "Once we are done with Ukraine, we will march through to East-Germany and take everything back."
So, a russian General is allowed to casually threaten a World War, but socks are too much?

(9,372 posts)It's Saint Basil's Cathedral.
They are often confused. But the Kremlin, while stately, does not have multicolored onion domes.

There are a lot of buildings inside that wall and one of them appears to have some onion domes so decorated they are almost cartoonish - I don't know what it is, but it's definitely not the whole Kremlin and it's not the Kremlin Palace, which has some white and gold domes you can see in this picture. The red brick wall surrounds the entire Kermlin.
