Until he manages to do that, England remains in Europe, and English remains European.

If he wants everyone in the USA to speak "American," then he had better decide if it's going to be Navajo, Hopi, Lakota, Wampanoag, Seminole, Cherokee, Iroquois, Tlingit, Inuit, or whatever tribal tongue he prefers. England, France, Portugal and Spain are in Europe, and are therefore European languages, widely spoken in the Western Hemisphere, but not native to the Americas.

English, especially American English, is a mutt language that has, as some have noted, adopted words and phrases from many languages, including Latin, Greek, French, Dutch, German, and Spanish. Just for the record.

2. To Americans that live in Puerto Rico, Spanish is their first language. Of course, Trump thinks they're trash.

Profanity is not just useful but sometimes necessary when dealing with politicians, computers, or plugged up toilets.
