I have quite a few friends I served with, some are huge mango mussolini supporters, a wife of one is borderline cultist

She just posted this on FB:

"WHAT TRUMP JUST DID,
AND WHY THE WORLD IS SHAKING FROM IT.
While the Left obsessed over headlines and gender pronouns, President Donald J. Trump spent the last 7 days doing what real leaders do: saving lives, reasserting America’s power, and getting results.
Here’s everything they don’t want you to know:
1. He Stopped a Nuclear War Between India and Pakistan
Things got hot in Kashmir. Really hot. Both sides were mobilizing. Nukes were on the table.
Trump stepped in. Quietly. Firmly. And brought both sides back from the edge.
Pakistan thanked him publicly. India pretended they did it alone — but insiders know who made the calls that saved the world.
That’s not diplomacy. That’s deterrence with teeth.
2. He’s Bringing Putin to the Negotiating Table
There’s a peace summit being arranged in Turkey. Ukraine’s in. Russia’s sending delegates. Trump says he’ll go himself.
Just his presence is enough to move the needle. Putin, for the first time, isn’t slamming the door shut.
Biden couldn’t even get a voicemail returned. Trump is reshaping the battlefield by showing up.
3. He Hammered China — Got Them to Blink
Trump forced China to the table:
• 90-day pause in the tariff war
• Immediate cuts to key tariffs
• A crackdown on fentanyl exports to the U.S.
Let’s be clear: Trump’s the first American president to actually get China to move on fentanyl. Not talk. Not task forces. Action.
4. $600 Billion Saudi Investment Secured
In Riyadh, Trump locked down the biggest economic deal in U.S.–Saudi history:
• $142 billion arms deal (massive boost to U.S. manufacturing)
• Over $600 billion in new investments into American infrastructure, energy, and tech
It’s a triple win: jobs, energy independence, and a Middle East that fears us again — not the other way around.
5. $200 Billion Boeing Deal from Qatar
Trump helped land a mega-contract between Qatar Airways and Boeing for 210 jets — worth over $200 billion.
That deal:
• Revives Boeing
• Puts Americans back to work
• Strengthens our aerospace edge over China
And it wouldn’t have happened under a DEI-obsessed, apology-driven administration.
6. He Lifted Sanctions on Syria — With a Hidden Blow to Iran
Trump lifted select U.S. sanctions on Syria — but only after securing conditions to:
• Expel Iranian-backed militias
• Rebuild with Gulf money, not Russian or Iranian influence
It’s a strategic strike against Iran’s grip on the region. He didn’t fire a missile. He just cut their legs out from under them with deals and pressure.
7. He Brought the Last American Hostage Home from Gaza
While Biden stood back and hoped, Trump made a direct diplomatic push through Egypt and Qatar to get the final American hostage — a 26-year-old aid worker — released from Hamas.
And he succeeded. Quietly. No ransom. No deal with terrorists. Just leverage.
This wasn’t just a headline. This was a message: You harm an American, you pay.
8. Gas, Groceries, and Eggs — All Cheaper This Week
Thanks to Trump’s trade wins and Middle East diplomacy:
• National gas average dropped to $3.13
• Grocery prices fell 0.4% — biggest drop in 5 years
• Egg prices crashed 12.7% — fastest decline since 1984
This isn’t stimulus checks. This is real economic policy that works.
9. Inflation Is Cooling, Markets Are Up
• CPI is holding steady at 2.3%
• S&P 500 just passed 5,900 — fully rebounding
• Investor confidence is roaring back
People are finally catching their breath again.
10. He Just Cracked the Back of Big Pharma
Trump signed an executive order that:
• Ties drug prices to what countries like Canada and Germany pay
• Forces direct-to-consumer pricing
• Cuts middlemen out of the equation
Drug prices may drop 30–80%. And for once, the courts can’t block it.
11. Doubled Down on School Choice
He declared Charter Schools Week and reminded every American parent: Your kid’s future belongs to you — not some woke school board.
12. 150 Executive Orders and Counting
In just over 100 days, Trump has:
• Dismantled Biden’s DEI infrastructure
• Streamlined bloated federal agencies
• Relaunched energy independence
• Cut off foreign influence in domestic policy
This is what rebuilding America looks like — brick by brick, signature by signature.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
In one week, Trump:
• Averted a nuclear war
• Brought Putin to the table
• Shut down China’s fentanyl pipeline
• Crushed grocery and gas prices
• Landed $800B+ in foreign investments
• Reasserted U.S. dominance in aerospace
• Cut Iran’s influence
• Freed an American hostage
• Lowered drug prices
• Protected your kids’ schools
• Reignited the economy
That’s what real leadership looks like.
No teleprompter. No stutters. No apologies.
Just America First — again."Writers Credit: Colquitt County Republican Party

The only way grocery prices are less in this economy is if you're shoplifting.

As far as the rest? Reality will hit her soon enough, when this "streamlined" government isn't available to serve her needs.

He Stopped a Nuclear War Between India and Pakistan

John Bolton, who served as US National Security Advisor under President Donald Trump, has provided detailed commentary on the US role in the ceasefire:

Bolton emphasized that India had a legitimate right to retaliate against terror threats and that its strikes were targeted at terrorist encampments. He clarified that while the situation escalated, the ceasefire was ultimately negotiated through military-to-military communications between India and Pakistan, rather than through direct US mediation. Bolton noted that President Trump has a pattern of claiming credit for international diplomatic outcomes, regardless of the actual extent of US involvement:

He’s Bringing Putin to the Negotiating Table
There’s a peace summit being arranged in Turkey. Ukraine’s in. Russia’s sending delegates. Trump says he’ll go himself.

The first direct talks between Ukraine and Russia should have heralded a new era of diplomacy towards solving Europe’s largest conflict since World War II. Instead, their context, brevity and limited outcome provided skeptics with more reasons to doubt Moscow wants peace.

The symmetry of the demands and the images was remarkable. In the past week, Trump has performed stunning diplo-gymnastics. Putin shrugged off the demands for a truce and suggested direct talks in Istanbul. Zelensky said he would meet Putin there, and Trump offered to be an intermediary. Putin rejected all bar a junior meeting. And then Trump deflated any sense of urgency by adding he never expected Putin to attend without his also being in Istanbul, apparently concluding that “nothing is gonna happen” on Ukraine before he meets the Kremlin head.

The White House benefits from the Kremlin’s deft baby-steps, insincere, inching towards peace. Russia does enough to permit Trump to pretend they are serious, while yielding no ground at all – even complicating matters Friday with a reported demand that Ukraine hand over territory Russia hasn’t conquered. There are enough vague, intractable whispers of diplomacy and further talks about talks, to provide the tantalizing promise of a deal, without striking, or even delineating one. Russia is playing for time, evidently, and amassing forces on the eastern frontline, drone images show, ahead of a likely summer offensive.

This week has perhaps helped elucidate where Moscow truly stands, but also too Trump’s reluctance to cause Putin pain. Clarity can be uncomfortable, and on Friday a stark assessment of Trump’s policy came from his former Ambassador to Kyiv, Bridget Brink, who resigned last month. In an op-ed, Brink explained why: “Unfortunately, the policy since the beginning of the Trump administration has been to put pressure on the victim, Ukraine, rather than on the aggressor, Russia…. As such, I could no longer in good faith carry out the administration’s policy and felt it was my duty to step down. ….Peace at any price is not peace at all ― it is appeasement. And history has taught us time and again that appeasement does not lead to safety, security or prosperity. It leads to more war and suffering.”

This steaming pile of crapola didn't come from nowhere: someone wrote it, someone edited it, someone put it into wide circulation, and now I'm reading it here on DU. Nearly every fact it points to is flat out lie, a context-free cherry pick, or partisan speculation. Yet it stands unchallenged on social media, spreads virus-like in emails, and 1/4 of Americans believe it religiously.

Where is the viral talkingpoint rebuttal from our side of the spectrum? The thing that refutes the lies and points out what a catastrophe F47's reign has been and likely will continue to be? The screed we can hurl blindly into the digital universe to rally the Democratic faithful? The truths that will make the cultists unfriend us instead of the other way around?

The F47 cult gets its talking points distributed daily. We have to hand-craft our own, or choose to ignore their ravings. It's not an even game, it's not even close.
