It is a bit ridiculous how much that name helps me to make sense of it all.

James Buchanan, Herbert Hoover, Ronald Reagan, and W were all terrible presidents, the worst, but they were all American Presidents.

I think Krasnov owes Russia so much money that he has to serve her. And Krasnov wants to own this part of the world. Russia and Russian tactics is giving it to them.

Malignant narcissism compounded by dementia.
At this point he can't help himself. Yes, there is blackmail, the threat of prison, etc. But he could have coasted on Biden's economy and had the protection he needed. This is deeper. He cannot conceive of the needs or well-bing of others. He is starved for adulation. His perception of reality is distorted beyond any rational human understanding.
Malignant narcissism gets worse with power. The disease progresses, there is no cure.

All this would not matter to us if Putin had not been in search of a puppet. Mad King George was a typical monarch--NORMAL for his times, but for an illness that incapacitated him but didn't make him increasingly cruel. We are dealing with something entirely different. Think Hitler, Caligula, 1984.

Fortunately, we are not in a novel, we will triumph. but we must understand who we are dealing with.

Not you, me or anyone here, but it's clear a majority of this country is either sick enough to genuinely love what he is doing or to believe the both sides are equally as bad fable.

We are completely lost as a country. The successful destruction of decency and reason by the right wing.

I couldn't bear it if I thought he was going to wn in the end. it's bad enough to see the suffering he is causing. But I do believe it will end.

Malignant narcissists tend to overreach. We have 2 centuries of democracy, which Russia didn't have when Putin took over.
We don't need to win over everybody, just the low information voters in the middle. Trump is attacking people on all fronts, like Hitler thinking he could attack Russia and Great Britain at the same time.

Decency remains in the majority of us. There are so many people doing good things. This will not just go away. How will we win? It is hard to predict. Who knew what would end McCarthyism?

Trump has visited Russia since 1987 and the KGB is notorious for filming it's prominent visitors. Trump is probably on several tapes that make Epstein look like Mother Teresa in comparison.
