Neil Young has issued a statement of support for Bruce Springsteen.

"Thank you, Bruce.

As a dual Canadian-American citizen, I join the vast majority in thanking you for speaking so eloquently and truthfully on behalf of the American people,

We are with you, my old friend."

since the (for me) unforgivable of behavior of oh-so-self-important George Clooney last June when he published that editorial about Biden that is getting attention once more with the publication of Tapper’s hit piece of a book.

He was advised by Jeff Katzenberg, an organizer of the benefit who was there as well, not to let the NYT publish the editorial. Katzenberg felt it went too far and was unfair. He felt it was kicking the President while he was down.

We can agree to disagree about Clooney, but he was not the brains behind the fundraiser. He and Julia Roberts were the pretty faces there to draw donors.

And he feels the need to ridicule, bully and badmouth them.

Actually, it is just jealousy.

Trump long ago learnt to substitute bluff, bluster and bullying for those admirable human qualities.
It doesn't work.

"...the Right likes the "right" type of music." - Bruce Cockburn

Bruce Springsteen and Neal Young both have ties to the folk music that was so influential in American culture in the New Deal years. For the Far Right, that kind of music is subversive and dangerous. Just like Jazz in the thirties and Rap now.

And just listen to Jesse Welles, coming in under the radar. They don't hear it coming.
