The latest Insider Advantage poll, conducted between May 17-19 among 1,000 likely voters, gives Trump a net approval rating of +11 points, 55 percent approving and 44 percent disapproving, with a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points.

That is up from a net approval rating of +2 points in early May, when 46 percent approved and 44 percent disapproved.

The latest Morning Consult poll also shows a surge in Trump's approval rating, 48 percent approving and 50 percent disapproving, giving the president a net approval rating of -2 points, up from -7 in early May when 45 percent approved and 52 percent disapproved. That is his highest approval rating since mid-March. The latest poll had a margin of error of +/- 2 percentage points.

The latest J.L. Partners/Daily Mail poll, between May 13 and 14 among 1,003 registered voters, puts Trump's approval rating at 50 percent, up 5 points from 45 percent in April, with a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percentage points.

And the latest Reuters/Ipsos survey, conducted on May 12 and 13, has 44 percent approving of his job performance, a 2-point increase from the previous poll conducted April 25 to 27.

Newsweek's tracker also shows that Trump's approval rating is ticking back up, currently standing at 48 percent, while 50 percent disapprove. Earlier this month, Trump's approval rating stood at 44 percent, while his disapproval was firmly in the 50s.

2. Why is that? I think the Democrats have overplayed their hand predicting empty

shelves at Walmart and runaway inflation. This made Trump back off on the tariffs. Maybe they should have
just STFU and let Trump carryout his trade war. So far there doesn't seem to be any effect on inflation if we
can believe those numbers. He creates a problem then takes credit for solving it when he reverses course. The
stock market is back up and we had the lowest inflation numbers in years last month.
