Last night I heard a Florida Democrat refer to the Gulf of Mexico

as the Gulf of America. Buy a spine.

Gulf of Mexico or Golfo de México—drawn, like the country's name, from the Indigenous Nahuatl language.

Eff that shit

I've watch Moskowitz in several of his hearings and you are completely misrepresenting him, both in terms of his Gulf of America comment (do you have a link to what you saw exactly?) and his """support for DOGE.""" He is very scathing in the way he makes his trademark satirical/tongue-in-cheek comments about various GOP initiatives. For anyone that has actually watched him and not read/watched something taken completely out of context, they would know he doesn't actually support calling it Gulf of America or the DOGE ridiculousness. Case in point, here's a video of him talking about DOGE:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jared_Moskowitz

Moskowitz is the only Democrat to have joined the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) caucus in Congress.

On March 6, 2025, Moskowitz was one of ten Democrats in Congress who joined all of their Republican colleagues in voting to censure Democratic congressman Al Green for interrupting President Donald Trump's speech to Congress.

In February 2023, Moskowitz was one of 11 Democrats who voted in favor of a resolution to end the COVID-19 national emergency.

In November 2023, Moskowitz was one of 12 House Democrats to vote for a $14.3 billion aid package to Israel that was funded by cutting the IRS budget.

In 2025, Moskowitz was one of 46 House Democrats who joined all Republicans to vote for the Laken Riley Act.

In April 2025, Moskowitz bought thousands of dollars worth of stocks before Trump's tariff pause, profiting off of turmoil in the stock market. He purchased between $20,000 and $300,000 in 20 different companies on April 7, when stock prices were low as a result of Trump's April 2 tariff announcement. According to Business Insider, "It was a well-timed trade. Two days later, Trump announced a 90-day pause on his 'reciprocal' tariffs, and stock prices shot back up."

Despite his insufferable – and incredibly fragile – ego, Trump has NO legal right to unilaterally change the name of the Gulf of Mexico.
But as long as he's befouling the Oval Office, he will rampage over rules, laws, and normal standards of adult behavior until those with the power to curb his malicious instincts find the courage to face him down before he starts WWIII.
