The two news articles appear to be two bus crashes within days with different details.

(29,981 posts)I tried to find the new article about it. The first one is not a Tesla at all. The second one is another Tesla bus crash that did not have any school bus children involved.

(1,921 posts)Looks like a Tesla is 17 times more dangerous than a damned Pinto was, and they got those off the road pretty quickly!

(6,912 posts)is one of those fatalities the guy who blew himself up with fireworks in front of the casino? If so... i'd discount that one. Only brings it down to 11.62 though.

(18,590 posts)One of those fatalities was the suicide in Vegas... coroner called cause of death as self inflicted gunshot wound.
If the person who made the graph screwed that up... how can you trust any of it?

(76,640 posts)The Tesla involved crash was with a bus with no kids. It couldn't have sent 8 children to the hospital.
The crash that sent kids to the hospital wasn't a Tesla, as far as I can tell.
It's like 2 stories were conflated to create a headline.

(18,590 posts)All I can find is the tesla model 3 (not a cybertruck like in the YT clip) hit a school bus with no passengers onboard... no one injured.
Got a link? To a Tesla on Auto Pilot hitting a bus sending 8 kids to the hospital?

I certainly agree we should make every effort to stick with the facts, and this thread seems to be a real mess. And that is a shame because if we just go with the verifiable facts, we have:
* A product that has not passed ANY safety testing by ANY government agency
* Has had endless promises over a 10-year period
* Has had dozens of verified fatalities as a result of the faulty feature
* Is now going to be put on the roads without ANY driver
* The latest version still makes major mistakes frequently
* And doesn't handle everyday cases like yielding to a school bus with its stop sign deployed (according to this very recent anonymous post.)

Like other posters have pointed out, no other news source is reporting the story told by OP's video. It appears that the video was "repurposed" from old video of an actual event, with a false narrative added.
