I realize this suggestion is just a joke, but I do get tired of celebrity-worship, as if being famous for and good at something unrelated to governance or politics means someone would be a good president. We already have a game-show host, and we can see how well that's turning out.

Two accomplished, experienced, intelligent women were defeated by one of the all-around worst, most unqualified people on earth with the single advantage of being male. The sexism and misogyny is that bad and I don't expect it to improve in the next 4 years. Or 40 years.

Nearly any Democrat would have won in that year. Bush was even more unpopular than Trump was after January 6th. McCain could not have overcome it.
