1. As a kid growing up the 50's and on the early mailing list where I got the 8x10" photos of all the rockets.

I was in heaven. Dreamed about being in the space program. It never dawned on me about my asthma and other ailments would stop me. But I still dreamed as a kid. But at least we were rocking along and would probably be building a settlement on the moon before long. But then the austerity programs to make sure there was the money to defeat the comunist hoards coming from Viet Nam. Then Reagan cam along and killed everything.

I am 77 now and still believe that if we had not thrown a war party in SE Asia and if Reagan had not been elected that we would have been living on the moon for quite a while.
