Ugh. The tail number on the Gulfstream jet is registered to him as of November 2024. My kiddo works at the FBO where the plane is scheduled to land later today. The pilot has asked for a private parking place for the plane and two limos are arriving from the Paws Up luxury resort north of town. I can't even go out there to flip him off or protest with a sign without outing my kid. Damn it. I hate when the nutters come to town. They aren't welcome.

ETA: Musk indeed landed late afternoon today. My kiddo had eyes on him. Kenneth Copeland, televangelist and grifter is here too. The private jets are coming one after another. The manifests are secret and the limos from the Paws Up luxury resort are picking these yahoos up.

Nothing would surprise me at this point. We're in such a mess up here with rethugs. My kiddo and his coworkers are speculating that Elmo's got hurt fee fees after leaving DOGE and being the most hated man on the planet that he needs to hide out for a while. Saquon Barkley was in and out of Missoula yesterday...Kevin Costner and Darius Rucker last weekend so it's common to see celebrities land at this private FBO to go to this particular resort.

If it's one of the 550's they're commonly used by SpaceX execs.

BTW none of these jets are "registered to Musk"... they're SpaceX and Tesla registered.

Personally I doubt it's Musk because he travels with his own security team in caravans of up to 10 vehicles...

Not a chance he'd book a couple limos to pick him up.

I am completely grateful to have raised my son here in MT. He and his posse hike, fish, elk hunt…These kids are of the land and know where their food comes from. We live a mile from a wilderness trailhead where grizzlies roam. They have a sense of place that anchors them here. My son is a pilot and will likely leave at some point but his goal is to live his life here. I hope he can do it. It’s so expensive to live here.
