Why is it hazy in Columbus, Ohio right now? Smoke from Canada's forest fires. It is very light right now.

Btw those forests should not be burning because they are under snow 5 + months a year
and the rest of the the year the forest floor stays really wet with moss, ferns, rotting tree parts,
and plants that do not dry out such as blueberries. Those areas are also thick with lakes, ponds,
rivers, streams, marshes, and bogs. The areas that are burning in Canada right now are called Tiaga
or boreal forests and you can have forest fires if you have dead trees but not @ ground level.

Moss and an orchid in a forest floor. Wet!

There is no both sides to this issue the more greenhouse gases we put in our atmosphere the
hotter and dryer our planet becomes.

Btw Trump and Musk have been working on closing down NOAA’s atmospheric observatory on
Mauna Loa in Hawaii which for 70 years has been the gold standard for monitoring CO 2 and the
northern Hemisphere’s climate.

The f*****g Supreme Court just had to make it illegal to count the vote in Florida in 2000.

And all the mouth breathers will just say all this climate change stuff is just about being “woke.”

The smoke haze is really light right now but it is there. I hope it doesn’t get to the point of
2023 where it was really thick.

Off and on since last night from my monitoring station. Air quality is finally back in the good range at 9. That is down from a high of 211.
