Offshore of the Southeastern U.S. Coast:
A non-tropical area of low pressure is forecast to form near or
offshore of the southeastern U.S. coast along a frontal boundary
during the next couple of days. If the low remains offshore, it
could gradually develop some subtropical or tropical characteristics
later this week while moving northeastward at 10 to 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.

(299,344 posts)I have two containers - one in the main bedroom and one near the front door - both with emergency supplies including medical stuff, snacks and water . The one near the door also has certified copies of important documents. Both have car chargers for the phone.

(97,406 posts)Hey. I'm in Louisiana - we watch storms forming near Mexico too. They can always cross over land and reform in the Gulf of Mexico.
And yes Nothern Caribbean and Gulf States have to keep an eye on those forming in the Eastern Pacific.
Hope we both have a safe season.
