My doctor is researching moving to Canada, New Zealand,

Australia, or Paris. Her husband is also a doctor, a highly-paid specialist. In their forties, they have two kids halfway through their public education. It's not too late for them to leave.

My doctor 'fessed up when I asked if she knew if and when the 2025 flu vaccine would be sent out, and all she could do was cross her fingers with hope. When I mentioned I heard that new med school and engineering grads were looking to expatriate, the med school student nodded her head affirmatively. Then the doctor told me they looking to leave.

Anyway, I got a booster shot today, just in case vaccines become rarer than rare earth minerals.

She's American. Her husband is from someplace Middle East, I forget where but I assume a more liberal country. I just got a letter last week that she's "moving to be closer to her husband's family". I am not at all surprised. She was concerned about the safety of her family at my visit last month and overly frustrated as a doctor at trying to provide good medical care in the US.
