I Was Wrong

I was wrong to think our elected officials would take an oath to the constitution,
and hold it sacred.
Because they swore an oath to uphold greed and millions of dollars!
I was wrong to think our Supreme Judiciary would remain non-partisan and hold their oath to be sacred.
Or believe they would actually consult the Constitution before ruling!
I was wrong to think a precedent would swear an oath to the Constitution and then say he doesn't if he did!
Because he is not a president, he is a precedent!
I was wrong to think our armed forces would hold their oath sacred and protect the American people.
I was wrong to think our local police force would hold their oath sacred and protect the American people.
Because if none of them swore to uphold their SACRED OATH none of us are safe.
