There are protests everywhere.
I’ve been getting nonstop messages from Nextdoor, Ring, etc that ICE and Natl Guard are showing up. Pics of ICE agents running in several directions down quiet neighborhood streets. Empty, except for ICE agents. One post said ICE was at a neighborhood church. This is all just in my area.

All of this going on today, and I turn the tv on. Nothing. No local network LBN. Just golf, tennis, swimming.

We are on our way north to Santa Barbara just visiting friends for the afternoon. I expect there may be some references to real life— but on the whole this group of older people, while very aware of the collapse outside, tries to keep some semblance of sanity for a small social sphere.

There were 3 protests all around downtown L.A. One in Boyle Heights and the other two around the detention center and City Hall.
Boyle Heights was trying to merge with one of these other sites.

There are sightings all over Socal of ICE agents. Some confirmed, others not confirmed.
